Sakeena Razick is pursuing a master’s in international policy at Stanford University as an Asia Pacific Fellow. She works part-time with CRI to support communications.
Previously she worked in research, media, and non-profit communications in Sri Lanka and India. As part of a think tank, she researched post-war human rights and transitional justice, statelessness, and laws and legal processes in Sri Lanka. As a journalist she reported on Sri Lanka’s elections, the COVID-19 pandemic, and state policies and failures. Following this, she co-led communications at a feminist human rights nonprofit based in India and working in the Global South. Independently, she has researched and advocated for the rights of minorities in Sri Lanka.
Sakeena has a bachelor’s in international relations. She loves fiction, traveling, and long conversations with her sisters.
